TantraBound is a trading name of Dartmouth Festival Ltd. Established by Kerry in 2006 to bring together the leading UK tantra schools under one roof. After two successful festivals we have expanded our activities to include specific coaching for men and couples.

Our background is multifaceted, from originally training as school teachers to building a London surveying practice employing over thirty staff with a turnover of £3m.

Our Ethos

"Each one of us is a union of universal energy. Everything we need to be complete is within us, it is simply a matter of recognition."

But what does this mean?

"Tantra is that Asian body of beliefs and practices which, working from the principle that the universe we experience is nothing other than the concrete manifestation of the divine energy of the Godhead that creates and maintains that universe, seeks to ritually appropriate and channel that energy, within the human, in creative and emancipatory ways"

But what does that mean?

Neotantra was imported into the West during the 1960's and is at least partly divorced from its religious roots. It is also known as "modern tantra," or by the somewhat derogatory term "California Tantra." Neotantra is primarily viewed as a collection of sexual practices including sexual intercourse. Practitioners' goals typically include increased intimacy and a delayed and more powerful orgasm for themselves and their partner.

Neotantra is sometimes associated with New Age spiritual practices. It is sometimes defined so broadly as to include all forms of sacred sexuality. The term is sometimes used in advertising sex education courses to make them more appealing to the public. It has also been used by commercial sex workers as a gimmick to increase sales!

Ah, now I start to understand!

Neotantra typically makes use of the traditional tantra yoga positions, breath control and meditation, but it is taught outside the framework of Asian culture and religion. ... Unique to neo-tantra is a modern or New Age tendency to include massage (so-called "tantric massage"), bodywork and even counseling (e.g. "sexual healing") to the course of study.

Great, I can get my head around that!
