ABOUT TLG
- Colin & Kerry Lambert are TLG. The business is family owned.
- Colin is a former school teacher, England junior international & Harlequins rugby player, former president of Islington Chamber of Commerce, Alumni of the London Business School and a Royal Yachting Association Ocean sailing instructor. This combined with twenty five years working experience as a chartered surveyor has given him a breadth and depth of experience to bring to his clients.
- Kerry also trained and worked as a schoolteacher before undertaking a Masters degree in Sociology. After housewifely duties she worked as a researcher before setting up her own Market Research company in 1993 with a client list including SmithKlineBeecham and Lloyds bank. Her sailing adventures culminated in her qualifying as a Yachtmaster Offshore and shorebased instructor in 2006. She sailed around Britain & Ireland in 2006 and has sailed the Atlantic. Still married to Colin after 32 years!
- They have two children. Emily, concluding her PhD at Aberdeen University and Chris working within the music industry after competing his degree in Leeds.
- On 1st December 1987, Colin established Lamberts Chartered Surveyors. The firm grew into one of the top 100 UK firms of surveyors and one of the top ten firms nationwide for fees earned per surveyor. Our clients included banks, building societies and other lending institutions to provide a full range of professional services. Today the company continues to grow under the careful guidance of the directors who led the management buyout in 2005.
- They launched Wentbridge Properties with the £15,000 purchase of a derelict building in Pontefract, Yorkshire. When the company was eventually absorbed within TLG, it had assets in excess of £1m with nil borrowing.
- From 2001 they were instrumental in building Devon Sailing into one of the country's leading Royal Yachting Association sailing schools. Their work included the financing, developing, marketing and eventual sale of the company in 2008.
- The continuing professional development courses (CPD) were developed during 2005 out of the extensive sailing programme and now include courses which look at the parallels between sailing and business.
- The company still own a commercially coded sailing yacht (Frangi) which is used for CPD and Life Coaching programs. Both Colin & Kerry are qualified RYA Yachtmasters. Colin is also a Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor.
- The life coaching programme was established in 2008 and since then have developed a range of services including; redundancy coaching, investment advice, career advice, stress management, public speaking and life skills.
- In 2010 TLG moved offices to its current base in South Molton Street adjoining Bond Street underground station.
